Mill Woods Town Centre

Mill Woods Town Centre is better known as a shopping centre and a commercial mall in the Mill Woods area of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Centre is surrounded on the north by 28 Avenue, on the south by 23 Avenue, on the west by 66 Street, and on the east by 50 Street. Mill Woods is rather a self-contained community where it strives to provide all the basic services for residents not wanting to leave the area for shopping or recreation. The Mill Woods Town Centre is located in the middle with the Mill Creeks running through the northeastern part.

What needs to be known is that the Centre belongs to a wider neighborhood with the same name. Mill Woods in Edmonton is rather highly populated with a residential population of close to 100,000 based on a recent survey. The neighborhood is composed of 44% rented apartments and 56% apartment style condominiums, which according to 2001 statistics, were mostly constructed in the 1990s.

With most service providers, including Zeller’s and Canadian Tire as anchor stores, the Centre turned to be a major destination for community shoppers.
