Every ATB Financial branch in Alberta could soon see new video surveillance installed as part of a project that will overhaul security at more than 178 locations.
If the surveillance solution is scalable, the province’s largest Alberta-based financial institution will consider making it available at another 143 agency locations.
Currently ATB branches have closed circuit television surveillance cameras for tellers and ATM machines as well as intrusion alarms, but the financial firm is looking at modernizing its systems with a lengthy list of requirements.
Some of those requirements include the ability to access and send video to law enforcement immediately as well as the ability to access cloud-based data from a variety of devices.
The surveillance upgrade will also be adopted at two corporate locations in several phases, a request for information said.
ATB declined to comment about the project.
