For animal lovers young and old, the Edmonton Valley Zoo is a feast for the eyes. The Valley Zoo houses many animal species from its home state of Alberta, Canada, and from all over Canada. Located in the city of Edmonton, the zoo prides itself for having multi-functional facilities aside from caring for over 350 animal species.

A zoo for kiddies

Though adults will find something to cheer about when visiting Edmonton Valley Zoo, the second home for the wild is designed to make kids smile. Kids will be thrilled to be allowed to pet some of the animals. They will also enjoy train rides that will tour them through the zoo’s attractions. There are merry-go-rounds and paddle boats that make the youngsters’ experience a tamed version of the adventure in the wild. The children can also go pony-riding for better interaction with the zoo’s residents. If they want to feel connected with their chosen animals, they can each adopt one as a pet. Adopting an animal at the Edmonton Valley Zoo does not mean that you get to bring your new pet home; instead, the zoo will continue caring for your pet.

What you cannot bring inside the zoo

The zoo may be all about providing fun, but a few things are not allowed inside. These so-called banned items include bicycles, roller-blades, skateboards, and scooters. This ruling ensures the safety of the zoo’s visitors. The kids do not really need to bring the mentioned items because they will get their fair share of fun once inside the zoo.
