Edmonton Blues Fest

While other Edmonton festivals offer food, blues lovers will prefer the Edmonton Blues Festival. If you are an avid blues music fan, you can experience your favorite music every year in mid-August right in the Heritage Amphiteatre in Hawrelak Park. The event was established in 1999.

What to expect from the Edmonton Blues Fest

Obviously, you will be hearing blues music during the three nights of the festival, if you do come every night, from Friday to Sunday. Not only does the Edmonton blues fest boast of local talents, it also invites national and international blues artists to grace the event with soulful music. The music continues, come rain or shine, so bring along rain gear to protect yourself while not missing out on anything.

Buying the blues fest ticket

If you have decided to attend the blues festival, bring along cash to pay for your ticket. Ticket offices only accept cash payments. However, if you bring your ATM card instead, ATMs are available on-site for your convenience. Tickets do not have special prices; they are uniformly priced for any age. If you want to get the most out of the blues festival, you can buy the weekend pass. The weekend pass costs less than three passes for separate nights combined. If you are not too sure that you will be able to go every night, you can buy a transferable weekend pass; it is a few dollars more expensive, though. A transferable pass can be a great deal if you want someone else to use the pass on a separate night.
